This collection of brooches from the early 1990s are among my favourite of dad’s designs. I have a few examples of these and I wear them all the time. In around 2005 I was attending a film festival in Malmo, Sweden and was introduced to the French writer, designer and director of beautiful animated films, Michel Ocelot. Before we’d even shaken hands, he fell upon the brooch I was wearing on my coat, with the words; ‘Now this, I love.’

It made me very proud to share a complement from such a prolific fellow designer, with my dad.
